Dental Implants
Dental implants are changing the way people live. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth which look, feel and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything, knowing that their teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. Patients with dental implants can smile with confidence!
What are Dental Implants?
The implants themselves are tiny titanium posts, which are inserted into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These "anchors" act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jawbone. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Small attachments are then joined to the implant, which protrude through the gums. These attachments provide stable fixtures for artificial replacement teeth. Implants also help preserve facial structure, preventing bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.
Partnering with your General Dentist
The Dental Implant Aesthetic Center has developed a program that allows us to work in partnership with your general dentist to provide you with the best possible care from start to finish. Your dentist can have an active role in your treatment to the level of his/her experience in dental implants. Ask your dentist about our partnering program!
"Teeth in an Hour"™
"Teeth in an Hour" is an innovative and special technique of surgical placement of implants and an immediate placement of a final or provisional restoration. Again, it starts with a CT scan and software that allows the fabrication of an advanced surgical guide to precisely place the implants and a laboratory technique that allows the fabrication of a restoration prior to the surgical placement of the implants. This highly advanced technique requires a skilled surgeon and a skilled restorative dentist (like a prosthodontist) working together to perform these procedures. This advanced type of treatment allows the patient to leave the same day with a fixed prosthesis.
"All on Four"™
All on four is another advanced surgical placement of implants that requires a CT scan for diagnosis and treatment planning. Implants are placed in specific areas of the edentulous arch and at specific angulations to support a fixed restoration. This technique maximizes the existing bone in placing 4 implants to support the restoration. This highly advanced technique requires a skilled surgeon and a skilled restorative dentist like a prosthodontist working together to perform these procedures. A restoration can be placed at the time of surgery or can be delayed depending on the quality and quantity of bone. The advantage of this procedure is the utilization of fewer implants to support a fixed restoration.
Advanced Surgical Procedures
With advanced training in the latest technology in surgery and restorative dentistry, the Dental Implant Aesthetic Center provides services in immediate surgical placement, guided surgery, immediate loading, immediate place, immediate restorative placement and aesthetic provisional restorations. Each patient is thoroughly evaluated and informed of treatment options best to help them achieve their desired outcome.
Computer Guided Implant Surgery
With the availability of CT data, images and newly developed software programs the Dental Implant aesthetic Center can determine exact implant placement prior to surgery, what implant should be used, it shape and size, the location of important anatomical landmarks (nerves, sinuses, bone contours, etc.) and then manufacture a guide to precisely place the implant in the predetermined site with less trauma to the patient. A guide made without CT computer guidance can lack important information and cause a mal-placement of the implant. In all complicated treatment the Center utilizes the CT and software to determine placement.
