May 2018 Study Club

Evolution of Digital Dentistry: Focus on Full Mouth Restorations

With summer just around the corner, it was about time for another study club! This past week Dr. Schulter and his son, Drew Schulter of Cagenix, spoke about the importance of the digital dentistry. Digital dentistry has always been an exciting frontier for both the clinician and laboratory technician. The continued expansion of the scanning process and various design and fabrication techniques has created challenge in understanding the best practices and finding pathways for success.

We are so happy to host our study clubs and it is always a treat to mingle with colleagues in the dental field. This is a great way for dentists to receive continuing education credit while enjoying a delicious meal and meeting with new and old friends!

February 2018 Study Club

"The Evolution of Implant Design and Modern Day Digital Workflow"

We rang in 2018 with a great study club! With close to 100 doctors, our February study club was a great start to the new year and the perfect way for some of our doctors to mingle and talk about new technologies in dentistry. This quarter's topic was "The Evolution of Implant Design and Modern Day Digital Workflow". A couple of the main learning objectives were to understand the development of implant surfaces and also learn about digital workflows from treatment planning to final restoration.

Our implant manufacturer BioHorizons brought in two speakers, Dr. Mark Ferguson and Dr. Stuart Nicholson, both with an extensive background in product development and digital dentistry.

We are so happy to share new technologies with dental professionals in the Mid-South and can't wait for our May study club. See you then!

May 2017 Study Club

"Keys to Success for Full Mouth Restorations"

Our May study club speaker was Drew Schulter, Dr. Schulter's son. The topic of discussion this month was "Keys to Success for Full Mouth Restorations". Drew is the Vice President of Operations at Cagenix, a dental lab in East Memphis. Many of our referring doctors joined us for a special Mexican dinner and night of discussing the importance of full mouth restorations. Stay tuned for pictures from our next study club in October!
